Hey guys, I hope you all had a great weekend! I’m super excited to be sharing this Bohemian mixed braid tutorial with you all. I recently stumbled on a very similar look over on Pinterest. After just one attempt, I knew I had to share this look with you all. This look is intended to be super messy; so don’t worry about perfection.
Start by gathering all of your hair to one side. I like to do this on the side of my part with the most hair, but either would work. Once your hair is all gathered, brush through it to make it easier to work with. Then, begin a french braid at the base of your part. A french braid is when you place the strands over, instead of under like in a dutch braid. You can check out my tutorial for french braid here! Continue the french braid until all of you hair has been added into the braid.
Once you are done with the french braid, you are going to transition into a fishtail braid. Start by splitting the middle section in two and joining them with the outer sections. Continue the fishtail all the way down your hair. If you need help, you can check out one of my fishtail tutorials here and here.
Lastly, pull apart and fluff up your braid! Be sure to keep this messy. Messiness is an essential part of any bohemian inspired hair-do. For tips on creating big braids, check out this post here. Once your braid is pulled apart, you are done! I hope you enjoyed this look as much as I do!
