Hair Slinky: The Best Hair Tie EVER | Love, Hannah Lee by Hannah Martin

Recently I was sent the Hair Slinky to test out and share my opinion on. From the beginning I thought this product was super interesting and different. It’s claim to be the BEST hair tie ever drew me in even more.

Plus, you guys know me, I love anything hair related. So of course I jumped on this opportunity. I rarely do posts like this, but still wanted to give you guys the low down. Everything on my blog is always my honest and genuine opinion. If something sucks, you’ll know just as fast as if something is amazing!

The Hair Slinky claims to be creaseless, cause zero breakage, and have a no-slip grip. Sound a little too good to be true if you ask me. In the past week or so I have put these claims to the test and now I am here to share my findings with you!

CREASELESS

This was the claim I was most drawn to. Nothing annoys me more than having a huge dent in your hair after wearing a ponytail. I can happily say that these live up to their creaseless claim. I especially love that they don’t leave my ends all crimpy after wearing my hair in a bun.

NO BREAKAGE

These definitely tug on my hair a lot less than a regular elastic, which leads me to believe there is little to no breakage. Also, my hair has yet to get knotted to one of these elastics; which happens with regular elastics all the time! Realistically, it is hard for me to tell if there is no breakage after a few short weeks. But, so far things look promising.

NO-SLIP GRIP

Honestly, I usually hate rubber hair elastics. Nothing is more painful than a rubber elastic stuck in your hair. BUT, these ones are the perfect amount of grip without being sticky.

BONUS CLAIM!

They also claim that when your hair slinky stretches out a little you can simply pop it into some boiling water for it to spring back into shape. Which I’m happy to say works! All you have to do is bring some water to a boil and place your hair slinky in there for a few seconds!

The Hair Slinky comes in two sizes/styles. The larger thicker style and a smaller slimmer style! Clearly the smaller version is more discreet. But I do think the larger style is still adorable looking; it almost reminds me of an old school hair scrunchy.

Overall, I think these are totally worth the money. I’m actually contemplating getting more! I really love them especially for night-time and when I am active. Be sure to check out their website to find out where to buy near you!
