Half up Halo Braid

Today’s hair tutorial is inspired by the classic halo braid; which I have actually never featured on my blog! But, in all honesty, it isn’t my very favorite hair style. And that is why I love this super cute adaptation of it. I hope you guys like it and give it a try. Remember to share your recreations with me on social media! P.S. all of my accounts are linked in both the top and bottom bar.

Start with a dutch braid at the base of your part. You can check out my tutorial for dutch braids here! Continue with a simple dutch braid for the first four inches of the braid.

Then, continue with the dutch braid, but without adding hair from the bottom, only from the top.

Continue this all the way around your head until you run out of hair. You will have to move around your hand positioning a few times, so take your time! Once you are done, tie off your braid and lightly pull it apart. For this look I don’t usually pull the braid much at all.

Then wrap the rest of the braid around your head and pin with some bobby pins. Be sure to tuck the ends of the braid under the braid and pin. You don’t want the ends of your braid hanging out!

And that is the finished look! I love how simple this look is but also something a little different then you would see on a daily basis. Now it is your turn to give it a try. Happy braiding to all of you!
