An outfit post with full details of this look can be found here!
Love Hannah Lee has been lacking hair posts for the past month or two, so lets consider this my return to the hair world. I already have a few hair tutorials lined up for this month. Very exciting, I know! Lately I have been really into outfit posts if you haven’t noticed already. But, that doesn’t mean I can’t do both right?
I’m completely obsessed with these waves right now. I love how soft and effortless they look while still being put together. I hope you guys enjoy this look and give it a try! Be sure to let me know what you think in the comments.
Start by lightly spraying your hair with hairspray and brushing it through with your fingers to give it some texture. In the pictures below I am using this hairspray, but this one is my all time favorite!
Then separate your hair into two large sections like shown above. These don’t have to be neat or perfect at all! Pull the sections to the front and as your curl place the pieces in the back.
Now we start the actual curling! Start by curling medium-sized sections AWAY from your face. It is important that all the curls in one section go the same direction. It is also important to only curl the bottom portion of your hair to get the desired effect. Be sure not to hold the hair on the curling wand for too long, I usually do about 10 seconds and then release the curl.
Once the curls have cooled, lightly spray them with hairspray and scrunch your hair up like shown above.
Then repeat the same process on the other side. I also just realized I have no pictures of me curling the other section, so this will have to do!
Add a final sprints of hairspray and you are good to go! The best thing about these waves is that they only get better with time! They will slowly fall into even softer casual waves. I mean, who doesn’t love that?
