The idea of this post was a no brainer for me. Summer is my favorite season and skincare is my favorite step in my beauty routine, so the combination of the two was bound to happen! I also recently refreshed my skincare routine so its the perfect time to share my new find and old favorites. Keep reading for details on these five products.
Skin Smoothing Mineral Facial Sunscreen: I’m pretty sure I’ve gushed about this sunscreen before, but what can I say, I love it! Over the years I’ve found that most sunscreens leave me with breakouts and clogged pores. So last summer I did my research and found that mineral sunscreens are more gentle, therefore are better for sensitive/acne prone skin. Although I looove this sunscreen, I’m itching to try this one next.
Rosewater Facial Spray: While refreshing my skincare routine I decided to cut out my toner. I was beginning to feel it wasn’t 100% necessary for my specific needs and wanted something that would benefit me more. And that is where this rosewater spray comes in! Facial sprays like this have been super hyped in recent months, but this one is honestly great. It leaves my skin feeling refreshed and hydrated. It’s hard to explain why I love it, so just trust me on this one! I mean, its only $7 so its worth a shot!
Illuminating Moisturizer: I had been hearing a lot of hype about this product and totally wanted to try it, but the price point was holding me back. Then in a recent Nordstrom order, this little guy was in with my free beauty samples. Now that I have tried it, I would definetly purchase the full size. Although this is not a replacement for your regular moisturizer (at least not for me), it is a great product to layer under makeup or even wear alone for a subtle smoothed and glowing finish.
CC Cream: While this isn’t exactly a skincare product, it certainly can be used as one. During the summer I use this as my makeup, but it does contain a high level of spf so it can certainly be used strictly for that. As for the makeup aspect of it, it provides a nice level of coverage for not being a foundation. It also looks like skin, and not a caked layer of makeup.
Gradual Tanning Lotion: I mentioned this in my self tanning post from last summer and still love it. I’ve never had problems with it going splotchy or too orange. Like any other self tanner, you have to make sure your skin is well hydrated before using. But the good thing about this self tanner is that it helps maintain the hydration in the following days after your initial tan.
