Happy Monday, Loves! Todays post is all about this matching set I picked up in recent weeks. I was initially just going to share the set, but then I thought it would be more fun (and helpful) to share just how versatile a set like this can be. While matching sets are obviously adorable when worn together, they are also so so fun to style seperatly. Plus, they are great for people on a budget. Just think of how many outfits you can get out of just these two pieces!
Also wanted to mention that I placed an order from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale this past weekend (basic, I know). But, I found some super cute things I want to share with you guys! So expect that later in the week when my package comes in! I’ll be letting you know what I think about the pieces I got, along with items I passed on and also things I wish I bought. Alright thats enough about Nordstrom, I’m sure you’ve already heard enough about them this past week. Now onto this matching set!
Look 1: Summer Formal
Although this look isn’t insanely formal, it is definitely a more dressed up look. I took the wrap top from the set and paired it with these culottes… which are actually a jumpsuit. To be more specific, this is the jumpsuit I feature in this post here. I simply tucked the front in, folded down the waist, and used the back straps to create some detail on the waist; pretty cool right?
Look 2: The Classic
I’m calling this the classic simply because of how straight forward it is. I paired my matching set with an oversized denim jacket and white sneakers to give this a more dressed down and relaxed vibe. I love how wearing both pieces in the set gives the effect of a dress, while still allowing the versitily and mobility of two seperates.
Look 3: Summer Casual
For some reason I always find patterned shorts hard to style. When finding a top to wear with patterned bottoms there is a very fine line between too much and too little. I like how the classic white keeps it simple, while the button and knot detailing add something to the look.
