Today’s tutorial is a spin on the classic dutch braid. This wrap around braid is fairly simply, but I’ve been digging it lately so I figured it was worth sharing! One thing that I really love about this look is how it looks great and also unique from all angles. Honestly, I don’t love how some braided hair do’s look so plain from the front. But this one is a super cute solution to that problem. I hope you enjoy!
1. Start off by parting your hair on one side, not down the middle. Then start a dutch braid (tutorial here!) on the side of the part with the most hair. Remember to angle the braid back and down towards the back of your head, like in the photos above.
2. Once you reach the back of your head, you are going to have to change your hand positioning. For this the hand holding the bottom piece will now hold the top piece and vice versa. Basically your hands will switch positions! Then continue braiding around the back of your neck.
3. Once you have added in the last piece of hair continue with a regular dutch braid.
4. Then loosen that braid up. This is my favorite part. I just love the look of big voluminous braids, especially with this braid!
And that is all for today! I hope you enjoyed this wrap around braid and give it a try. Remember to share your recreations with me on Instagram (tag @lovehannahlee or use #lovehannahlee)!
